About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Facilities and Events to serve as the strategic and operational leader of our physical workspaces and the execution of high-quality corporate events. This on-site role requires strong leadership, strong negotiation skills, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure seamless facility operations and event coordination. The role will include managing a team of office managers and partner cross-functionally to deliver an exceptional workplace experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilities Management:

  • On-Site 5 Days a week, Monday - Friday
  • Provide strategic oversight and day-to day management of all company facilities, including office construction, lease management, maintenance, safety, and security.
  • Design and manage the facilities budget, including lease obligations and operational costs.
  • Lead a team of 3 Office Managers; hire, mentor, and evaluate staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee vendor contract negotiation and performance for cleaning, food service, security, building operations, and maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement scalable workplace utilization policies that promote office efficiency, flexibility, and employee well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and accessibility regulations.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment procurement.

Event Planning & Execution:

  • Own all internal and external corporate events, overseeing concept development, planning execution, and post-event evaluation.
  • Manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics in collaboration with internal stakeholders and third-party partners.
  • Develop event budgets, timelines, and logistics plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Oversee venue sourcing, contract negotiations, and vendor relationship management for all event needs.
  • Ensure all events uphold the organization’s values, promote inclusion, and reflects its culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • ** Candidates must be based within commuting proximity to one of our core office hubs: San Francisco Bay Area, New York City, or Washington D.C.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in facilities management and events in a corporate setting, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams. Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, able to drive outcomes with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proficient in workplace safety regulations and event compliance requirements (OSHA, ADA, etc.)
  • Proficiency in facility management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Collaborative, Team Player, Effective Communicator
